Katherine Mendel

Ms. Mendel received her Bachelor’s degree in Sociology and Spanish from Saint Louis University in 2000.

Ms. Mendel received her J.D. from Thomas M. Cooley Law School in 2007. While there, she served as an intern for the Detroit Immigration Court, where she drafted decisions and research memoranda for the judges on asylum, admissibility, and criminal matters. She volunteered with St. Vincent Catholic Charities’ Immigration Law Clinic, where she conducted legal research and interpreted and translated for Spanish-speaking clients. She was Assistant Editor of the Thomas M. Cooley Law Review and was the recipient of the Eugene Krasicky Award for the most valuable contribution to Law Review.

Ms. Mendel’s prior professional experience includes civil litigation and business immigration matters. Ms. Mendel joined our firm in 2021, and her practice primarily focuses on corporate business immigration matters including H-1B Specialized Workers, L-1 Intra-Company Transferees, O-1 Extraordinary Aliens, and Trade NAFTA/USMCA Professionals.
